I still can't believe that Vodafone will ship a replacement phone and ask the customer to swap out the back cover - even if it was OK. Weird

Obvious retort to 'hardly ever happens' was 'Why has this happened twice to me then - within 3 weeks'.

Passport lady - 'this thing hardly ever happens' 'we are incredibly busy' 'you can't send a scanned form' and will process this form herself

@reality Hmm - looks like the one I bought from HTC but it is missing the inner plastic cover. Which is the problem. Crap design & service.

@davidmarsden Dunno - I can't face any more faceless forms. I might have it repaired and expense the fucking bill to Safra. Cunts.

@reality The plastic inner cover that guards the SIM and the battery is broken in 2. It still works but occasionally drops off, powering off

'Its the same as if you dropped the phone and cracked the screen' - it's not covered by insurance. Weird fucking logic.

'You need to buy a new back cover yourself'. 'OK fine. I tried to do that but you can't buy them. They are viewed as part of the phone'.

Vodafone will replace the HTC Legend and I keep my SIM, the memory card and the broken back cover because 'I broke that'. Fucking hell.
